Lyon Air Museum reopens Friday, June 12
Lyon Air Museum is committed to providing a safe and healthy facility for all our employees, volunteers, and visitors. To ensure a safe and healthy environment, we have developed the following COVID-19 Preparedness Plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Workers and volunteers are all responsible for implementing this plan. Our goal is to mitigate the potential for transmission of COVID-19 in our facility and community and that requires full cooperation from our workers, volunteers, and visitors. Learn how we will keep you safe during your upcoming visit.
During Your Visit
Visitors are instructed not to enter facility if they are sick. Detailed signage of social distancing and face covering rules are clearly posted at entrance of museum. Signage is placed throughout the museum to enforce “no contact” and social distancing.
Lyon Air Museum Team are required to wear face coverings, while museum visitors are strongly recommended. Babies and children under age two should not wear face coverings, in accordance with CDC guidelines. Face coverings are available for visitors who arrive without one.
Museum Visitors have the option when purchasing museum tickets to use contactless payment, This can include mobile payment (Apple Pay, GPay) or through a tap system on your card.
Social distance markers are in place for visitors. Volunteers are to keep a 6 foot distance when giving a tour. Customer groupings are limited to a household unit.
Doing Our Part
Cleaning & Sanitation
High contact areas will be sanitized regularly (ie: countertops, restrooms, door handles, and stair rails) Allow for free flowing air whenever possible.
Protection for Visitors
Plexi-glass “sneeze guard” has been installed at front desk/ticket booth. Contactless payment is available as well as online ticket purchasing. Entry point and exit are separated. Interactive zone is now only a viewing exhibit. Movie theater is closed until further notice.
Employee & Volunteer Wellness
Employees and volunteers have been informed to self-monitor for signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Staff and volunteers who are sick or exhibiting symptoms should stay home and contact their primary healthcare provider.
Employees and volunteers are instructed to wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water frequently throughout the day. All museum visitors will be required to sanitize their hands prior to or immediately upon entering the facility. Hand sanitizer dispensers are available at the museum entrance and throughout the museum.
